Vantage Point Solutions is currently hiring for the following positions :
 
 
CAD Operator (Mitchell)
The primary function of this position is to assist the engineering staff with preparation of Outside Plant (OSP) maps and other miscellaneous drawings. This is a detail-oriented position that requires the ability to create mapping documents from a variety of sources, as well as being responsible for keeping detailed construction notes for the project as it progresses. Some onsite travel is required.

Successful applicants should have good communications skills and an applicable CAD degree from a technical institution or applicable experience.

For this position, a basic knowledge of the telecommunications industry is a plus, but not required.
 
Data Engineer
The primary functions of this position are to research, design, and implement telecommunications equipment projects for client companies. This position is focused on the data networking side of Telecommunications. Duties may include installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of various Wide Area (WAN) network technologies such as DHCP, advanced IP routing and switching, ATM, RADIUS, Network Security, content filtering, as well as network performance monitoring and Intrusion Detection systems. A successful applicant can expect hands on projects with Linux servers, Cisco routers, Juniper routers, as well as broadband RAS devices.

Successful applicants should have an applicable degree from a technical institution, university, or applicable experience in engineering. A basic knowledge of the telecommunications industry is a plus, but not required.
 
Outside Plant Resident/Inspector
The primary functions of this position are work with the client's Outside Plant (OSP) Contractor to ensure that the OSP project is being constructed according to the Vantage Point Engineer's Plans and Specifications and conforms to the project's contractual requirements. In addition, the OSP Resident/Inspector is responsible for keeping detailed construction notes for the project as it progresses. The OSP Resident/Inspector also performs OSP route staking and reviews project construction maps. Onsite travel is required.

Successful applicants should have good communications skills and basic PC skills. A basic knowledge of the telecommunications industry is a plus, but not required.
 
Field Services Representative
The primary functions of this position are to manage, coordinate, and complete various installation functions occurring at client locations. Duties may include interaction with the client, scheduling and coordination with contractors, material management, quality control and staff coordination. Other duties may include installation and termination of cables and electronics. This position requires organizational skills, the ability to communicate effectively and requires a high degree of travel.

Successful applicants should have two or more years of applicable experience in coordinating staff or have a minimum of a two year, higher education degree. Knowledge of telecommunications electronics is desired, but not required.
 
Telecommunications Consultant
The primary functions of this position are to provide business and regulatory consulting for client telecommunications companies. Duties would include regulatory research, preparation of ILEC cost studies and tariffs, working with NECA, USAC, the FCC and state PUCs, development of feasibility studies and business plans, as well as other statistical, financial or regulatory reports concerning telecommunications.

Successful applicants should have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or related field. Previous telecommunications work experience or a CPA is a plus, but not required.
   
Network Systems/Data Communications Analyst
The primary functions of this position are to serve as a telecommunications specialist dealing with the interface of computer and telecommunications equipment. Analyze, design, test, and evaluate network and data communications systems. Perform network modeling, creation of electronics plans and specifications, analysis, and network planning. Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. Duties include: telecommunications network architecture design; wireless network analysis; wireless network performance analysis; electronics system analysis; emerging technology studies; telecommunications product research; technical system documentation; and project acceptance testing.

Successful applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in telecommunications or a related field. Five years experience in the job offered or a closely related telecommunications position. Two years experience in telecommunications network, design, and deployment; Radio Frequency (RF) analysis; telecommunications plans and specs development; telecommunications equipment procurement. All experience may be gained concurrently. Will accept any suitable combination of duties, training and education.
