Broadband Data Collection

The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) is in the process of creating a National Broadband Map with more detailed and precise information on the availability of fixed and mobile broadband services. To gather the information necessary to create the map, the FCC is requiring all fixed and mobile broadband providers to semi-annually submit Broadband Availability Data and other information in a Broadband Data Collection (BDC) filing.

What you need to KNOW and DO for the BDC.

The National Broadband Map, which will support tremendous amounts of funding, requires provider data via Broadband Data Collection no later than September 1, 2022. This is a NEW process, and there’s a lot to know before the portal opens on June 30.
